Compression Molding Simulation in Moldex3D involves generating a compression zone, precisely defining a charge volume, selecting a material, and determining a suitable process to be able to mold. This session will go over these aspects of compression molding simulation and more!

What Attendees Will Learn?

The process of compression molding requires knowledge of the following functions:

  • Compression Zone Wizard
  • Import / Generate a Charge Layout
  • Determine the Initial Fiber Orientation in the Charge(s)
  • Select a Material for the Analysis
  • Define a Process to Define Compression Speed and Time

  • Creating a Flow Progression animation
  • Fiber Orientation
  • Air Trap
  • Weld Line

    -Review of warpage results
  • Begin practice on more complex geometry
