Material properties are a significant source of recent and future improvement in the simulation world. Moldex3D uses a more theoretical approach to simulation, meaning that the solving of fundamental constituent equations must be carefully examined from a material definition to ensure that the matching between simulation and the real world is as accurate as possible.

There are many properties that exist within a singular material card, including Viscosity, PVT, thermal properties, mechanical properties, Crystallinity and Viscoelasticity, all of which impact how the results of Moldex3D would match reality.

Zyad Metoui is a CAE Applications Engineer at Moldex3D, where he supports customers in applying plastic injection molding simulation to enhance part design and manufacturing efficiency. He provides technical guidance on material characterization, flow, packing, and cooling analysis, as well as troubleshooting common molding defects through virtual validation. Zyad works closely with engineers across multiple industries to help bridge the gap between simulation and real-world molding performance, ensuring accurate and practical design solutions.
