Moldex3D Wins Prestigious James L. White Innovation Award for 2015 of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS)

White Innovation Award for 2015 of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS). This prestigious award of PPS is given in recognition of the outstanding innovations in the development of mathematical models and injection molding simulation software.

Founded in 1985, the intent of PPS was to provide a mechanism and format for interaction and presentation of research results in the international polymer processing community. With the goals to foster scientific understanding and technical innovation in polymer processing by providing a worldwide community of engineers and scientists in the field, PPS has been flourishing for the past 30 years in academia as well as in industries with remarkable growth and many changes. Every year, PPS presents James L. White Innovation Award to honor outstanding researchers or inventors from both academia and industry with aims to recognize originality, innovation and applicability in both science and technology.

To turn scientific researches into industrial applications, Dr. Rong-Yeu Chang found CoreTech System to serve industrial customers with Moldex3D series products to deal with injection molding processes and challenges.  The major accomplishments of CoreTech System (Moldex3D) include developing microscopic simulation core technologies for molecular dynamic simulation, completing various fundamental 3D injection molding simulation core technologies, establishing a series interface technologies for CAD and CAE to offer better solution to consider process induced material variation for virtual life-cycle management of injection molding product development. By far the most important contribution of CoreTech System (Moldex3D) is still the commercialization of its academic researches into CAE software for various industrial sector applications, and continuously enhance the researches and application to deeper and boarder back and forth.
