- Injection molding CAE tool has been considered indispensable especially when specific needs arisen. This proves to be important when it comes to the trend of weight reduction in automotive industry, where re-design of components and employment of alternative materials may be needed.
- In this presentation, an example of automotive oil pan was shown to demonstrate the benefits of applying injection molding CAE, in the end to achieve the purpose of weight reduction. A finite element simulation work was then integrated to prove such modifications does not affect its service.
