This work started from the silicon rubber characterization coming from laboratory and industrial pilot tests, where indications about rheology are collected. The second topic is the mask design taking into account the best compromise between aesthetic and performance. Therefore, the CAE simulation set-up is based on a proper material characterization, the best mold design, and the process parameters fine tuning. The simulation outputs are used to guarantee the correct mold production and to set-up the proper injection molding parameters.
