Hsinchu, Taiwan – January 17, 2019 – CoreTech System Co., Ltd. (Moldex3D) has never stopped putting efforts into industry-academic cooperation. Moldex3D signed an MOU with German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) and Hitachi Sunway on Nov. 28, 2018 for the Moldex3D software license donation to GMI. This donation is for the students and industrial training of GMI and is supposed to help the digitalization towards Industry 4.0 in Malaysia.
This MOU was signed by Mr. Allen Peng, Managing Director (Asia Pacific, Moldex3D), Mr. Rosli Abu Bakar (Acting Managing Director, GMI) and Mr. Cheah Kok Hoong (Group CEO/ Director, Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn. Bhd.) at the Mold & Die Digitalization Seminar in Malaysia. In this MOU, Moldex3D commits to donate 25 suites of Moldex3D software, which will be used in academic and industry training. In the meantime, Hitachi Sunway, Moldex3D’s reseller partner, established the Digital Manufacturing Center at GMI and will start launching a series of training courses utilizing Moldex3D to overcome the practical challenges in the injection molding world.

We also shoulder the tasks of assisting academic to nurse new blood that can benefit the industry in the future.”
According to Hitachi Sunway, this cooperation marks a milestone in Manufacturing Digitalization Technology with the launching of Digital Manufacturing Center at GMI. The center is currently powered by Siemens PLM Digital solutions as well as one of the most powerful plastic injection molding simulation solution – Moldex3D. The center will play a vital role in enabling GMI students to go through a “digital-based” training of the manufacturing process before proceeding to actual machining or production operation.
