Designing an Overmolded Plastic Part with Mold Filling Analysis 

Overmolding, a type of Multi-Material Molding (MMM) process, is a common injection molding method of creating a single part using combination of two or more different materials. Overmolding process not only improves the aesthetics and functionality of the part, but also offers greater design freedom. One of the greatest challenges of overmolding is selecting proper materials to ensure good bonding between two materials.
