Moldex3D Netherlands Office: Cultivating European Roots for a Decade, Celebrating 30 Years with Headquarters

Establishing a European Outpost for Smart Manufacturing, Embracing Global Challenges, and Ushering in 2025

The year 2025 marks Moldex3D’s 30th anniversary and highlights molding simulation as the shared language of engineers worldwide. Our Netherlands office serves as a vital hub, driving smart manufacturing and linking the global technology ecosystem.

Why choose the Netherlands as a base?

“It’s our strategic hub for Europe’s diverse market,” explains Larry, Senior European Sales Manager. “Moving from a distributor model to a direct office allows us to better meet market needs. Europe values trust and technical depth. The Netherlands’ prime location and multilingual environment help us serve major markets like Germany, France, and Italy and collaborate directly with global OEMs and Tier-1 customers on developing next-generation technology.”

The Frontline Mission: A Dual Challenge of Technology and Efficiency

“Servicing European clients is an all-encompassing challenge,” Larry admits. “Our team acts as consultants, managers, and sales representatives. The technical standards are high, often requiring close collaboration with our Taiwan headquarters.”

He adds a key advantage: “We leverage the time zone difference to respond to afternoon inquiries by the next morning. That efficiency and mission-driven attitude leave a lasting impression on our European clients.”

Success Stories: From Wind Turbine Blades to Medical Innovation

“The beauty of this job is the daily variety,” Larry says. “One day it’s automotive parts, the next it could be a 20-meter-tall wind turbine blade. In high-precision fields like medical devices, we’re not just a tool—we’re a key innovation partner for our customers.”

This collaborative spirit is evident in our work with industry leaders. See how Moldex3D helps:

The European Office’s “Teaching Mission”: Empowering European Service by Training with Durable Branded Plastics (DBP)

Success in Europe relies on strong partners. We regularly train our distributors, such as Durable Branded Plastics (DBP), a Dutch specialist in food-grade containers.

“I’m most focused on the Filling analysis because it allows us to foresee potential defects during the design phase,” said Witse Verlinden, a Process Engineer at DBP. “After the training, I have a better grasp of design risks, which is crucial for avoiding rework.”

Local Insights: Efficiency, Even at Lunchtime

Beyond business, what’s the biggest cultural shock? “Mealtime!” Larry laughs. “My daughter’s school lunch is 15 minutes. Clients take a half-hour for a few slices of bread. It reflects a dedication to efficiency, but I still stand by the Taiwanese proverb, *’Chi fan huang di da’—*eating is the top priority! You need a full stomach to work well.”

30 Years: A Journey and a New Beginning

As global supply chains and sustainable manufacturing evolve, 2025 isn’t just a reflection on 30 years—it’s the starting line for the next 30.

“We look forward to reuniting with our European and global partners at K 2025 to push simulation technology to new heights of innovation.”
