The technology of Boundary Layer Meshing (BLM) is a powerful tool to be able to get the highest quality results out of simulation. To generate a BLM, users must first create a surface mesh to approximate the contours of the solid geometry through a multitude of planar triangular surfaces. The quality of those surfaces determines the quality of the solid mesh, so if there are any errors in the surface mesh, users must diagnose and fix those errors before completing the mesh.
