7th Digimat Global Users’ Conference & Training

Tools, Solutions and Expertise for the end-to-end analysis of Chopped and Continuous Fiber Composite Materials and Structures

e-Xstream engineering is pleased to announce the organization of the 7th Digimat Users’ Meeting. Join Moldex3D for the annual Digimat Users’ Meeting where international composite experts and key industry decision-makers will share technical knowledge and best practices on proven way to accurately model innovative composite and leverage their outstanding properties.

This conference is a unique opportunity to obtain real word know-how on competitiveness and gain performance into your product lifecycle!

The 2014 edition will focus on:

  • Progressive Failure analysis of CFRP. From material coupon to Aero Structures
  • Efficient end-to-end finite element analysis of material RVE with Digimat-FE
  • Robust, Fast and Easy analysis of reinforced plastic parts with Digimat-RP
  • Modeling of Discontinuous Fiber Composites

The conference program structure will include 2-days of technical presentations from customers, Digimat experts and technological partners on October 21-22. October 23 will offer the possibility to follow a Digimat introductory or advanced training and to meet with our technical team members. Moldex3D specialist Dr. Sun will present his paper on How Moldex3D tackles the challenge of simulating flow-induced microstructure.

Former attendees think…

The Digimat User Meeting was an ideal opportunity to update myself on the latest developments in the fast moving material simulation environment. In addition to high quality presentations, there were significant opportunities to network and develop new contacts. — Peter Browning, Automotive Market Director, Solvay Engineering Plastics
“There is a significant increase in the use of composite materials in aircraft and automotive applications. Because of many unknowns related to composites, especially in aircraft applications, we are not exploring the full capability of composite materials. Therefore, efficient micro-mechanical modeling of fiber-reinforced composites is essential for understanding the material behavior in macro level. Currently, NIAR research team is looking into developing procedures with benchmark examples to use Digimat to support certification by analysis to reduce the burden of testing for every single variation in constituent level.” — Dr Waruna Seneviratne, Research Scientist & Technical Director, Composites & Advanced Materials Laboratory, NIAR
