Advanced Sequential Valve Gate Profiling in Moldex3D to Overcome Surface Defects
The common surface defects, such as weld lines, sink mark, flow mark, are often occurred due to improper gate location or mold temperature in injection molding process condition. By implementing Sequential Valve Gating (SVG) engineers can set a programmed time sequence for opening and closing of valve pin gate, which provides better control over the cavity filling pattern to effectively solve the surface defects. Furthermore, Moldex3D is taking a step further to enhance SVG technique by adding support for valve pin movement simulation. This pin movement simulation allows engineers to consider the influences of pin position and velocity to optimize their sequential valve gated hot runner systems.
In this E-learning you will learn:
- How Moldex3D predicts the surface defects
- How SVG technique can improve the surface quality
- Moldex3D Pin Movement Technology
